We’re excited to welcome Rob Ehlert to our senior management team as Vice President of Engineering. His appointment is a seminal step in the expansion of our engineering efforts and heralds an innovative era of product and platform enhancement. As Vice President of Engineering, Rob will manage all offshore and onshore engineering activities at Building Engines; architect near-term and long–term engineering team growth; as well as oversee all network services operations inside the company and through our managed hosting partner.

Rob’s career path spans large management and technology consulting firms, as well as private software product companies. He is the former Vice President of Engineering at Invaluable, Inc., an established SaaS company that delivers software and services to the world’s largest auction houses and ecommerce companies like eBay. At Sapient Corporation and Molecular, Inc., Rob honed his business planning and communication skills to help tailor the technological fit for clients like Reebok, Adidas, and Dassault Systèmes.  Earlier in his career, at 170 Systems, he worked on ERP Systems enhancing his ability to balance short-term objectives with the need to scale for the long-term and meet continually evolving business needs. He has a long track record of success in product enhancement and in scaling, honing and perfecting complex engineering teams.

Rob holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Georgia Tech.
